Nir also has stated that some types of changes get you more points.

I imagine they aren't final yet. You have likely read the same post. The part I still wonder about, too, is "Giving segment a street name might get you more points in some cases" which never clarified. Does that mean going from blank to one? Or for changing it? What about alt names?gettingthere wrote:Although Nir also mentions that amount of points for editing in Papyrus is 'not final' and that was months ago. So who knows if something else has changed and has not been updated in the Wiki.

It actually a previous feature that Waze had which they removed several versions ago.jasonh300 wrote:What does offline driving mean, and does anyone have anything other than a zero in that field?

This has happened before. The process just either got stuck/crashed or is in mid-process. The points aren't lost.
But this does make me question how they are processing updates. The user table should have a field with all the current data. The points update process should run and only ADD points each day.

I think that should get sent in to support. I'm very suspicious.jasonh300 wrote:User cpockat got 323,000 points yesterday. Some major city in Georgia must have gotten perfect maps overnight.

True, but 300k in under 30 days? Even with the extended tools, this sounds like a lot of edits.Timbones wrote:I've seen a user amass lots of points without the aid of the Extended Tools.gettingthere wrote:Related to the Extended Tools?
So, Waze answered that this was due to cookie munching. In the US? Thousands of miles of rural roads never driven on before? Hmmmm....

That answer is crap. That's traveling 113MPH for 7 days without stopping and not being on any roads not munched.jasonh300 wrote:@Waze tweeted that all of the points are from Cookie Munching, which would mean that someone munched 19,000 miles of cookies. I think you'd be hard pressed to find 19,000 miles of cookies anywhere in North America.

I submitted a ticket yesterday, too.jasonh300 wrote:I tweeted it to @Waze this morning. They indicated that they are aware of the problem and asked for the username, so I guess they know why it's happening.

That's actually a more reasonable and possible score.bgodette wrote:A new one today:

True enough, but we know there have been valid scores over 70k before. Banished is there at above 30k. I'm not saying I believe it to be valid, but that this is more reasonable and plausible than 300k.gettingthere wrote:Unlikely. 50k points is a LOT of points in an entire week nevertheless from an unrecognized Wazer at mid-week.AlanOfTheBerg wrote:That's actually a more reasonable and possible score.
