I've been getting 4x750 candies a day. I also got my 500 point candy for being top in my state. None of these points ever hit my scoreboard.
In regards to editing points, you only get the points once. The 750 point editing candies are just a representation of the points that you already received for editing. You don't get editing points and then more editing points for the editing candy.
I'm fairly certain this is wrong. The 750 point candy was introduced after a number of us complained that editors were being short-changed. The candy was introduced to effectively double the number of points from editing!
This is my understanding as well.

I always thought that solving map update requests got you 3 points per request solved? (+ any edit points from fixing the map, if applicable)

Great. Although my points have not yet been updated, I take comfort in the fact that my points are still there (right waze?), and my huge amount of driving and map edits will be accounted for.

Hi guys. In the beggning of The year I Traveled more than 500 miles (850km) in a week, down here at brazil, I was on a trip from São Paulo to Santa Catarina, and I still didn't receive my candy for this achievement, please help me, who do I have to contact to get my bonus?!

At that time I didn't know how this candies work and I didn't notice it... But now I'am competing with friends to rank up and I miss all that points :(

Darn inconsistent date formats across the world. ;)

I wish the forum required people to at least say what country they are in for the location field, that could make some of these questions/complaints easier.

I only use ISO date formats at work for the reason Alan mentions.
