Gas updates and points:

As I finally near King status, I've had a lot of fun with this app the last 6+ months. I do have a pretty small gripe, but gripe nonetheless. You allow people to literally rack up points non-stop simply by updating gas prices, and at 8 points each, FAR above a much more important update on an accident, or traffic trap. But to the people who are legitimately calling out valid traffic problems, you restrict their ability to update others around them to 5, maybe 6 updates in a certain amount of time.

This isn't even about points, you can't even update people. Bring in the NY/NJ area, I have bumped up against this limit more than a couple of times.

I could literally drive up and down US 22 here and rack up hundreds of points in an hour, but I can't tell people of more than 5 or 6 events in a row before the system cuts me off. You might want to make some adjustments to that formula.

One should get more points for updating all the grades of gas as opposed to just one grade.

You only can update gas prices if you are near (500 m?) the station, so it will be difficult to achieve hundreds of points an hour...

I didn't know updating gas prices gave you points. I only have time to submit traffic reports when driving.

My experience is less then 500m. Maybe 200m if you're lucky...

Yeah, I get this. It happened to me once; I hit the Report button and couldn't decide if I want to report Hidden Police or Gas Price (for extra 3 points). I can't remember what I chose, but the point is valid - why is reporting of gas prices worth more? Is it because it takes more effort? What about all the wazers that report price of Unleaded and don't touch the other 3 fuel type fields? Everyone gets 8 points regardless how accurate the price is.
