Or maybe a separate leader board for the Champs?
I'd be very low on that so therefore I'm opposed! ;-)

Yeah, however it works, some of us have ridiculous scores and are beginning to dominate leaderboards. Lets's semi-retire and let others have their day.

This is a downright copyright violation and he needs banned now!

Also if you Google the username, you can get an IT company address to pass onto Waze if they want to pursue him legally or pass the details onto Google themselves for using copyrighted material.

It's not Wazes fault but there are a***holes that will cause trouble like this.
Already reported. Already investigated. Already banned! ;-)

The Israeli server is in the process of being merged with World which is resulting in a few users' total scores showing in weekly totals. Just ignore them for the moment. If you do think it's suspicious raise it with a CM to check out.

Other than the damage of this map can not be named. His rank editing 1. He probably did not even edit the map. But gets a day to 250000 points.

It's automatic created segments from Google maps
For example

WME https://world.waze.com/editor/?zoom=1&l ... TTTFT00000

No. In this place there are no roads. There are no railroads also.
Google Maps https://maps.google.ru/maps?q=60.93829+ ... 9&t=h&z=16 always draw roads in Russia crookedly, isn't present there where they really are.

Special programs for Android allow to change real location, probably and to imitate movement. Most likely it is made by means of it

look up the editing forum. Pretty much everyone who is top weekly uses it. Just practice out of the city until you know 100% how tools work, please. it is not hard to use how everyone says, but just in case (so you dont mess up the map). There are videos and "howtos" about a few tools too. Other engineers in the community can tweak the extended tools and add better scripts to speed up his editing experiences, but that is another thing.

why are you asking me to not make rash generalizations when it looked like you just called everyone who uses ET a person that "messes the map just for the sake of relatively worthless points"?

if it makes you feel better, then thanks for spending so much time editing without using any tools to "hack" a map. I mean, you spent.. what.. 2 years of your time? but the problem is not ET, the problem is the ranking. I mean, if there was a point limit everyday (did you play gunbound?), people who uses ET would spend extra time editing better the maps. If people arent allowed to use ET, someone else will develop it or bypass WME (if it gets blocked). I see it as the online games. If you get into a game and you see the ranking and you say... wow, 2 million? im sure that there are a lot of things in the mind of that person, except spending 3-4 years catching up. The ranking needs to be limited, not ET.

i dont think he used ET only. In my opinion you cant break the 150-180k mark with ET even if you edit all day (weekly). The ranking should be limited. As example, there are the mmorpg's, when you start, you cant go and kill a level 100 monster, you have to kill the low level ones. I mean, people who are experienced, get to earn more points than newcomers. As the newcomers get formed, they are allowed to earn more points.

That would be cool in Waze, if you are a 600k map-edits editor, you should have an earning %, which is higher than someone who got 50k. Not sure how fair that is, but looks nice to me.
