(Then I edited and made these saves:)

(Today, I see this:)

???

I'd suspected that it did this before, which is why I was recording the number of edits I was saving. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm pretty sure the Map Editing Interface and Controls page notes the difference between changes and edits. Also the Ranking and Points (or Rank and Points) page has similar info.

Number of changes in the editor (the number you see on the save button) does not equal number of edits!

You can find more information by asking that in the automated system at waze.com/support but basically it's number of times an object is edited irrespective of the number of actions performed on it.

As mentioned, the number of edits on the edit counter is not equal to the number of edit points gained.

This is where the number of points per edit was changed from previous releases due to an increased abuse of the editing system. There was also a 150 point limit placed on points gained per single save while using bulk-editing tools if I understood correctly.

Understandable, but then how is "number of edits" (which would equal Map Updates on the dashboard) defined?

Definition of a Map Update as separate from Unsaved Changes is not explicitly called out on the Wiki, at least not that came up in response to a number of searches. That is why I am asking here.
