There is a very clear table in the blog:

Points for forum posts are missing, each 3 posts gains you 2 points.

Too bad I never calculated this when the editing-points in the dashboard were real live...

My guess: There are several edits possible per selected road: name, city, type, direction, level, connectivity. As every edit has its own merits, they all should be awarded. That means that mass-editing several roads at the same time can get you a lot of points at once!

Be aware: it has been said by the devs that editing points also can be negative! For example when you delete a road you created just before, the delete action will cost you the points that you gained with the add-road action.

as I answered vanwaik over email, the *truth* is that you are saved for each change.
If you are changing a bunch of segments, then each segment will count as 1 edit (even if you do them all at once). Sorry if this wasn't clear before.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

I always kind of wondered what happens if you delete something someone else did, or was even brought into the system as an error. Do you get points for deleting someone else's road, for example? It is an edit so, theoretically, it should..

I'm pretty sure that this has been discussed before, and it was revealed that each time you click save equals one edit, even if you changed multiple things at once (street name, directionality, city, road type, etc). Same goes for mass editing... if you select five sections of road and edit them in one steo, I believe that only counts as one edit (rather than editing each section individually and receiving credit for 5 total edits).

Again, this is just what I believe was said by the waze team. I could be wrong. When I'm on a computer oi rather than my phone) I'll try to find that thread).

is there a overview of getting points?

Postby vanwaik » Mon Aug 09, 2010 10:11 am

Is there a overview of how many points you get for each possible edit & driving action?

I tried to search on the forum and wiki but couldn't find it so far...

(if there is any, can you make it sticky in this subforum? :) )

Thnx!

another question: what does 'per edit' mean? p.e.: if you select four roads and edit them simultanously, is that one or four edits? :)
