South Africa Wiki Changes
I have made the following minor adjustments to the ZA Wiki:
Locking Policy : Updated lock levels for Freeways and Toll Road segments. Level 5 is the appropriate Level that should be applied to protect these.
Roundabouts : Even though we supply a link to the general wiki page for Creating and Editing a roundabout, I added some more info. Many of our unique mini-roundabouts seem to revert to the 'take the nth exit' vs the simpler turn left / turn right or carry straight through instructions. The tendency is to map them in line with actual road geometry instead of mapping them for the best instructions. The following text was added :
"In cases where roundabout driving instructions revert to 'Take the nth exit' as opposed to the simpler 'Carry on straight' or 'Turn left/right' for smaller roundabouts, it's preferable to recreate these roundabouts with roads at the proper entrance and exit angles, even if it does not exactly match the road geometry.
As per the guidelines, roundabout road types should match the highest road type for a particular route through the roundabout e.g. a roundabout that acts as an intersection between a 'Primary Street' and a crossing 'Street', should be set to type 'Primary Street'."
