There was a few soft-turns on the route that I corrected and I pulled every junction apart that waze routed around and forced a rebuild of them. Perhaps this will help waze? In doing so I completely reconnected ward road and removed all of the junctions which should have caused the traffic data to average itself out along the route. Maybe this averaged traffic info will help? Without any obvious turn errors, stray segments, incorrect information, this is my plan b approach.

Occasional Weird Routing - Can't Resolve

Postby travtufts » Wed Dec 05, 2012 1:45 pm

On a route I take every day, Waze will switch up the routing at this point:

https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=-71.18367&lat=42.33987&zoom=5&layers=BFTFFTTTTTTFTTTTTTTTTFT''

Some days it correctly routes to take a right at that intersection, and then an immediate left. But other days (and today) it creates a very roundabout route for no apparant reason. All the turn restrictions seem right to me, and the right turn would be onto a primary street, as opposed to the roundabout way on regular streets.

Any ideas? I don't think it's a GPS problem, since this happens about 50% of the time.
