No BP Stations???

Maybe someone can tell me why BP service stations do not appear on the map? I mean, they are not even in the list where you can set your preferences. Is it a "PAID" thing to be on this list and they just never did poney-up?

Depends on what you mean by do not appear on the map.

They are mapped in the Waze Map Editor and should be searchable in the app.
To have their logo show up on the map, like you see with Exxon or Mobil, is a paid feature.
