Suggestion for turns that are discourage but allowed

Post by RKANNEGIESSER
There are some turns, mainly left turns coming out of a minor road to a major road, that may be difficult under heavy traffic. This could be denoted by a YELLOW ARROW. Sometimes this would include straight through movements a minor road that traverses a busy major road via a two-way stop, making the straight through movement dangerous during peak hours, while being safe during off-peak hours. My home City of Thunder Bay, Ontario has many of these intersections that could benefit from having YELLOW turn arrows placed on the WAZE map.

We already have the ability in the Waze Map Editor (WME) to mark a turn as difficult. When marked as such in WME and the app user has "avoid difficult turns" option turned on, the driver should rarely be offered the difficult turn. We also have the ability to mark it as such during certain time periods. If there are specific intersections that you would like your local editors to consider marking as difficult, you can post a message in the Canadian Forum with details, locations, and explanation of why.
