driving 6 months but no drives recorded, so no map edit

I login the same on the phone and in a browser in Waze Map Edit,
but Map Edit shows zero drives, no history, so no permission to edit.
Yet, my profile shows 6 months of drives, many reports, many miles.
Why the disconnect within one account?
How can I begin to edit maps?

I found my own answer by clicking around Map Editor experimentally. I had no drives logged on the map server first assigned to me when I entered the Map Editor page. It was an east-coast server. When I entered my home city on the west coast, I was directed to switch servers, and when I was getting data from the local server, my Drives tab finally showed many drives and map editing got interesting.
