Not sure, but I thought "avoid highways" was supposed to avoid all three already. Perhaps not. Are you looking for individual toggles? I'm not sure 80% of users would even know what those mean.

You can certainly add your suggestion, if it is not already there, to the Client Uservoice. Do a search there to make sure something the same or similar has not already been suggested.

Exactly the point. I'd like to avoid motorways sometimes, like a nice leisurely drive sometimes lol.

No more than the current option of "AVOID HIGHWAYS" that one would assume (as I did) means motorways. The option should be minimised unless (ADVANCED OPTIONS) is clicked and each would have a very brief summary (OR) localised versions of the options, such as:

Avoid
- Motorways (freeways)
- Major primary routes (Dual carriage-way A roads)
- Minor primary routes (other A roads)

It would be easy, they just need to define the local words per country, nothing more.

I'm sure each country could have a single basic set. You could always offer the default set and provide the opportunity for advanced users to override those definitions, who knows.

I think that's the point - the suggestion is we need an "Ignore Freeway" option so that the Highways will still be used.

Conversely the norm over here is the "Avoid Motorways" option and the average wazer wouldn't expect lower class Highways to be included in the exclusion.

Same here, but we have the benefit of an own client translation. In stead of translating 'highways' with its normal Dutch word, it is translated as 'A+N wegen vermijden' (Avoid A+N roads, where A-roads are the freeways and N-roads are the Major and Minor Highways)

Although the average Wazer, who is not an editor, may not understand the difference between freeway, major highway and minor highway. Is that going to over complicate the options in the client and cause confusion?
