You know what I would buy? A Waze-enabled radar detector.

Imagine a little box that you plug into your phone's data port, and it transmits real-time traffic control data to waze, warning you of a potential or confirmed speed trap, and giving you the option to specify or confirm the exact location of a speed trap!

?? Except for the "radar detector" part, isn't all this functionality in Waze already? Just because a radar detector goes off doesn't mean there is a speed trap, so it would still require interaction with the driver.

Plus the data port is often combined with the charger port, which most users already use for charging while Wazing.

They are illegal in NL as well... The cops even have detectors that detect the radar detectors...

Why? Over here (DE) it is legal to buy them, but illegal to use one.

I know they're banned in certain US states. I haven't owned a radar detector since the early 90s. I didn't even know they made them anymore. I thought they went out with the CB radio.

The last one I had could detect radar-detector-detectors and shut itself off temporarily.
