Yup, a "Park & Switch off" function makes more sense than a "Mute" that invites to keep Waze on (and silent) while you do your shopping.

Poopstick wrote:I think adding picturesque routes to Waze would be a neat idea. Editors would just have to mark scenic segments and users could check the option to follow the most scenic route while on vacation.

Add a enhanced POI system such as hotels, restaurants, etc and you get an amazing tool to convince Wazers to use the app outside of their daily commute.

...and for the kids on the backbench there are quiz-questions every x km, like "What is that building on the left for?" or "How many different mountain-peeks can you count here?". Interface per voicerecognition, so they can shout the answers. Questions should be usermade, and a ratingsystem would filter out the bad ones. Best rated questions bring the most points to their creator.

All to be developed before the next holiday-season, please!

I second AlienGC's suggestion. If notes were added to this point, it could be used for a wide range if things. (I'm thinking of notes to myself regarding map updates, but....).

The integrated yelp search in Waze is only to find POI's and read reviews. No ability to leave reviews, check in, integrate with your yelp account, edit details, etc.

Especially giving points to wazers who stop and eat or use the services and rate them as well. Would be especially useful for wazers who travel a lot and don't know there way around the new places could find the best place to eat fast.

Is what you are thinking of significantly different from the current Yelp integration? I haven't really used Yelp or the Yelp results in Waze myself so I don't know.

The resolution is dependent of the distribution of data over the day, probably.
