First of all, I live in Brazil and speak brazilian portuguese, so, sorry for any wrong writing, ok?
Well, I've read the blog notice about the wazers performance in fixing the map errors... well, I truly believe that if, in Brazil, we could have a better satellite images, we could have a better work!
Please, guys, take a brief look at the Bing Aerials we have in Brazil! It's, sometimes, a crap! As an area manager of my city, I am satisfied with the image's quality, (we have some unaligned part of the city, though) but and I travel to inner country... well, things get worse fast!
As an example, in Paraiba State, I live at it's capital... I can fix the city because I can see the roads... but if I try to fix Esperança, Mamanguape, Sapé, Mari, Areia cities (and the list is very big) images are useless! I barely can see the place where the city is!
So, now you understand that our benchmark is not as good as it could be! Esperança city has reports since last september about misalignment, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to us to fix that kind of problem! In fact, all reports in that city can't be fixed because of the bing aerials image!
But, when I open wikimapia website and point to Esperança or Areia cities, for instance, I can see everything! That would be great if we could use those images to fix waze maps!
Is there any chance to waze map editor make a partership with wikimapia to share/use those images?
Thanks for reading.
