There is a very interesting tool development going on which is called flinc. The purpose is to give others a ride who like to go in the same direction (Dynamic Ridesharing). The app will be connected to the drivers navigation system. Every driver can make a price per km/mile. The user looking for a ride gets the information who is going in the direction he would like to go and how much will be the price (and raiting). Then you choose the driver and he gets the information where to pic you up.

Thats a great idea IMO and WAZE should be part of it. It would give it a huge boost as well.
