Has there ever been a discussion on adding school zones and times to the live feed? This could be very helpful for routing.

Close. They store speeds in 10-min intervals for every day.

Personally, I would like option to get a warning of a school zone. They could easily be mapped as a landmark over the roadway.

I know, Darren. But one could make that argument of any roadsigns we see. When in unfamiliar territory, it is often the case that signage is looked over in favor of not causing accidents. The option to have it as an alert would be welcome, IMO.

Why would it help routing?

Any slowdowns at drop-off/pick-up times are already incorporated under Waze's standard operating model.

Where do we stop? Warnings for school zones, common school crossings, crossings near playgrounds. What about animal crossings near farms, near dog walk parks? Etc etc etc.

An app should not replace roadsigns!

Well, you learn something new every day! At least that explains why it doesn't always flag up as being in traffic when it's rush hour as it obviously knows the traffic will be slower.
