This has been suggested before, however since Waze knows the average speed of each segment broken down in 10-15 minute increments, Waze already knows when traffic in the school zone slows down, and will route around it. Please note, that sometimes it's still faster to go through the jam (any traffic jam) than to go around it.sollostech wrote:1. Mark school zones on maps
There are already some limits in place, I believe they are more time/distance related than reputation based.sollostech wrote:2. user reputation used to determine how many reports can be submitted within a time period
Suggested several times (and most users are against it) - viewtopic.php?f=16&t=39265sollostech wrote:3. submit posted speed limit
4. alert when you are going significantly faster than posted speed limit
Waze does has a Speech Recognition System with access to all of the reports (and a whole lot more). There is a list somewhere either in the fourm or the wiki, but I can't find it right now.sollostech wrote:5. when submitting info via the app. rather than making the user focus by hunting about the screen for where the next thing to tap is going to be (it takes I believe 5 taps to submit a vehicle on the side of the road and each tap is in a different part of the screen) why not center it on the screen and use audio to express options so we could double tap to accept for example or tap once to skip to next. There has to be a way to require less attention when submitting an alert. One hand tapping in one place and receiving audio responses seems like a valid way of improving this.
Correction: Many are against it, and many are for it.AndyPoms wrote:Suggested several times (and most users are against it)
