[SUPPORT] Searching the Forum: no results for 'common' words

Post by SnackBarHarses
Today I tried several searches on the forum:
  • speed camera cartouche
  • speed camera
  • overview points
(Example result from first listing: http://www.waze.com/forum/search.php?ke ... mit=Search )

even selecting just one forum I still get feedback that the words are excluded because they are too common on the forum. Well that is a good sign ofcourse because it belongs to the waze language ;)

I really don't care about how many results there are, I will find out myself. I cannot imagine the results included more than 50% of all posts on the forum (common error when fulltext searching in sql).

So can you please do something about this? :) I really cannot find something on the forum like this way :)

The intro page which popped up was a demonstration of the site http://www.lmgtfy.com

Once the search results appear you may append whatever it is that you wanted to search for.
So using the "Workaround" link provided:
1. Watch the short demo and watch the Google results appear
2. In the search box which contains: "site:www.waze.com/forum" append your search term(s) to appear as: site:www.waze.com/forum "whatever I'm looking for" (quotes are not necessary unless you are searching for a specific term)

Manually using Google to search the Waze Forum:
1. go to Google Search
2. enter in the search box "whatever I'm looking for" site:www.waze.com/forum (Again see above for quotes and following the syntax in 2. above will only yield your search requirements)

Thanks RallyChris. I'm not sure about the TOU for Google search, but I know that I've seen several sites use an embedded Google Search field on their respective pages. Any way to accomplish this?
