Map enhancements

I find it very helpful to know where the next rest area is while on Michigan's (or any) interstates. In fact, I tried to add a few this past weekend using update map/update details. Is this something that can be implemented in future updates, or will my personal updates stick? Should I continue to add or will I be penalized if I do?

I do the same thing. This is usually an "Exit Rest Area" ramp road type connected to a few parking lot road types named "Rest Area", and then an on-ramp ramp road type named "to xxxx" following the standard naming conventions from the wiki. I then create a landmark encompassing the area of the rest area.

What you are doing is reasonable to me.
