I'm cherianchris from Chennai. I use Waze extensively in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and other parts of India when I travel.

Thanks,

Don't you guys think it's a bit uncomfortable to go into submenus to report while driving? Shouldn't the app add some quick access buttons for quick and safe reporting while driving?

Is there someone here who can voice this up to the waze app developer teams?
Hi,

Thanks for your feedback..

The Waze App does have some Quick Access Buttons to report certain alerts. To access these, long press the Report icon, and slide toward the report of your choice..

We have also requested for certain improvements in the current reporting process as you said it takes too many taps and sifting through the sub-menus.

Do reach out for any more queries..

Thanks Again,

This is a major issue, which we discussed during our weekly call on Saturday, and also during the APAC MeetUp at BKK.

Abhijit would be discussing this with Waze Staff as in India, it is dangerous to drive as it is, and on manuals you have to change gears and also go tap tap on Waze.. :D

Wow! Was totally unaware. Still I think if there was an option to assign direct report icons for users it'd have been better.

Thanks for the reply.

On a side note, how can I join a group/team?

Hello Yathrakkaran,

Good to see another Wazer from Kerala. Myself Sreejith from Trivandrum.
Yes, it would be a 'colourful' experience if we have more active wazers. In my opinion, waze do have a great opportunity in Kerala. If we are going by the number of trolls being made out of Google Maps, people are looking for an alternative, but are not aware of waze. With the features like speed camera and police alerts, the app do have features that can strike a chord with the youngsters. Waze have to position themselves as the first choice
