Hi, Ori
Thanks a lot for putting it on Waze official FB page.

We got lot of likes for the page but the real problem is lot of users in India are not active on forums, FB page, for that matter any mode of communication regarding Waze.
I see mostly paritosh, cherianchris & vcoolvin more active. :)

Secondly there is lack of awareness about Waze in India.

I request you that can we get some active contibution from Waze in promoting or creating awareness in India.

Regards,
Sk2380.

Wooohhhhh finally we have sk2380 too (Was so difficult to look for you dude) .... now its getting more fun by having two top most wazers of india. Let the fun begin.

Hi,
vcoolvin,

Thanks a lot for the compliment!

Regards,
sk2380.

Hi mumbaikars,
I wish to suggest like if we change the Vashi and adjoining area as NAVI MUMBAI instead of Mumbai Sub-urban area while mentioning in each POI and Road segments and wherever we can. Logically Vashi and its Adjoining area are comes under Navi Mumbai jurisdiction.

Any suggestions further on this.

Calling all Mumbaikars to join in.

Regards,
Sk...

Hey Sk, naming cities is not a priority right now, although it would be advisable to do it along with proper road classification, which needs to be done on an urgent basis. Many segments are incorrectly set as Freeways, Major Highways & Primary streets, which need sorting. And many Primary streets are set as Normal streets, which needs to be changed as well.

So yeah, naming cities correctly is important but we've got more important tasks to finish off first.

Regards.

Hi paritosh,

Thanks for the reply.

Ya that's true what you mentioned.
But I think while doing the priority changes in map we should keep in mind about the changing the city name to Navi Mumbai while editing a road segment or POI.
Whenever the next city layer tiles gets updated our edits will be reflected on the client. ( if I am not wrong)

Regards

Hi guys,

May I make a suggestion?

Maybe you could create a Facebook fan page for Wazers in Mumbai, there you get in contact with other Wazers from Mumbai, and spread the word about this forum.

If you'll create this page, we can endorse it and spread the word on Waze's official FB page...

Thanks,

Ori

We gave Waze India some TLC on our official FB page - so far I see there are a lot of new likes!

Dude, Waze India page goes from around 22 likes to 77 likes. That's pretty good! :D

That should get some discussion going. Thanks bud.

P.S. It would be great if Waze could periodically bring such unknown pages to notice :)

Every time that Wazers share with us their fan page, we go public.
We also have a bi-weekly newsletter where we share it with our communties -
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=34743 (Waze India will be on our next issue (: )
