Warmest Welcome, to the Second Indian Lady Wazer, on the Forums. If you could PM me your area, then I'll request an Area Manager (AM) to assist you. I would be more than happy to help you get started as well.

Hiya there everyone!

I've been Wazing for a few months and editing for even fewer months but I'm totally hooked. I've managed to climb the ranks pretty quickly and am quite happy with that.

I'm glad to get your help in making edits more accurately and consistently.

It's also great to see more and more Wazers on the streets. Gives me hope that this will be the top urban sat-nav app in India at some point. We sure do need it.

:)

ah, you did see me in Kolkata. I did come down there for a couple of days. I don't travel as much as I would want to though.

Nice to meet you, man. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm trying to promote the app as much as I can now but people turn away because it's not quite up to the mark yet. But since we can see its potential, I guess it's up to us to make it awesome.

Hi Tushar,

Sorry for the delayed response. And it's great to have you on board Tushar. Delhi needs all the help it can get, is what I keep saying :). I second Chris's recommendations for aligning with GPS points or the map image (aerials) in their absence. There is no shortcut though, as I found out initially, and each road and segment needs to be moved and re-aligned manually. The silver lining is, you'll rack up a bunch of points for doing so :).

I've also started a new group on the client called "Waze India Delhi NCR" where I hope you'll join and share your suggestions and problems on the fly. I'll help as much as I can. And of course, there's always this forum to your rescue whenever you need it.

I know editing seems a herculean task to begin with but as we chip away at each segment, we come that little bit closer to perfecting Delhi's map. Keep at it!

In the meantime, post, share and talk about Waze. I do it all the time and people are starting to think I'm just a bit obsessed. They are not wrong :D

Nitin here from Chennai. Have been using Waze for the last one month, and like the idea a lot.

Thanks to all who have contributed to Waze Chennai so far - seems like quite a bit of mapping is already in place!
