For SH let's keep the hwy name as Pune - Satara road SH-84 irrelevant of the direction .... But considering the SH-84 is the part of overall NH-4 Hwy.. We just can't ignore route from Pune to Satara as its SH and name it only "Pune - Satara Hwy MH-SH-84"..... I checked the Bing Aerials, as well as google maps, both are very different. Lets not forget NH-4 is a part of GQ. I think we can Name it as NH-4 as the main name and in alternate name we can mention MH-SH-84.
For NH we can name it NH-4, NH-9 and so on (ref. Bing Map) Alternate name option can be applied to this as well mentioning the city name from which hwy is crossing by.
I hope I have not missed out anything...

I have traveled on the above mentioned road many times, Waze screen gets cluttered... With the long names...
This will give the waze user idea on what highway is taking them where at the start of their journey and they know later with just the number that they are going on the right track, it will not clutter the maps much and will also give enough information on the incident report
So that's the reason there's an option of alternate name in WME. And the biggest point is this that when you are driving on the Highway or anywhere else, you should look at the road more, and less at your phone. All you see is a long blue or red line, when you are not driving in your city.
