Sequencing Multiple Stops

Postby KensBolt » Sun Dec 02, 2018 2:31 am

How can I enter multiple addresses, then, while looking in map view, pick the most efficient sequence for the stops?

First problem is that I cannot add more than two stops because there's a "One Stop Limit. To stop elsewhere, you can start a new drive" which wastes time while driving. I want to enter all addresses quickly from the start at the office.

Second problem, even with just two stops, is not able to pick which one first.

What am I missing?

Multi Stops

Postby RKauMelb » Fri Oct 18, 2019 12:30 am

Hi,

I currently drive for work and each day i have a different set of stops that i must do.

is it possible on my laptop to set up 20 places and then i can edit in what order i visit them.

I can currently do this on google maps but i prefer the waze app.

I am currently logged into the laptop and can send one destination by sms.

i would really prefer waze to be able to do this.

Unfortunately you're not missing anything, this is just not possible to do with Waze. The App was designed for commuters to find the fastest route and allows for a maximum of 1 "via point" in that process where it will find the routes for you.

Planning custom routes is in fact easier to do with Google as they allow to plan and edit routes on the computer and send to the phone so that it can make you drive your custom route. Waze will always find routes based on traffic conditions and cannot be given a custom route to follow.

Adding a stop works after starting navigation to your final (or second) stop first, then you can add a first stop on the way there: https://support.google.com/waze/answer/6262564?hl=en

The only current "workaround" is to figure out the best order for the stops yourself, since Waze cannot do it for you, using any tool you may know of that can help in that process, even if it's just with the Waze Livemap to compare ETA's.
Once that is done create Favorites on your Waze App for those stops which you can name Stop 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc... and once you reach one of those and are ready for the next one, just tap the next favorite from your favorites folder.

As written above, unless you create favorites 1 by 1 on Waze and select them manually in the order you want, you cannot do what Google Maps does with Waze, also sending a location to the phone from the livemap is limited to one at a time.
