There are about 5 other threads about this. Support is aware and they are looking into it:

Web Server and Cartouche Client v1.3 "White-spotted Snake"

Postby itamar » Sun Mar 07, 2010 1:14 pm

Uploaded to both www.waze.com & world.waze.com

Highlights:
1. Roundabouts bug fixes
2. Pending update requests menu for area managers
3. Disable turning into a roundabout a node that is the center of a roundabout
4. Remove junction on a four-way junction (will replace bridging eventually)
5. Return menus minimize
6. Separate add/remove node to add & remove individual tools

Quite a small release bug and feature -wise since most of it consists of internal architecture changes.

I disabled the pending deletes link. Since we have area managers with multiple areas in the now dense areas of Germany and France, the pending deletes queries are taking a heavy toll on our database. I will rewrite the queries and upload a fix later this week.

Sorry,

Uploaded a mainly a bug fix update (1.3.1) to world.waze.com:

Highlights:
1. Area managers - pending deletion roads bug fix
2. Delete node & Bridge options removed (use remove junction instead)
3. Points awarded for all turn restriction changes
4. Remove node - fixes for some two-way road bugs
5. Tweets in German and French (if your app is set to these languages)
6. In France & Germany any user can name a blank road and change non-geom properties (since we have a grid there now)

No I am not. But there are people here in support that collect and prioritize the problems. This will not be lost, although it is not scheduled for 1.4 (don't know further than that).

I wanted to save you the selection process since it may sometimes be slow. I may have to reconsider ...

The new way:
1. Select Remove Junction
2. Click the node

And if you don't have a node:
1. Select Road 1.
2. Select Road 2.
3. Click on "Connect roads in order of selection"

The connect roads thing does 1 of 2 things:
a) If the roads is of the same type it joins them together to a single segment.
b) If the roads is two different types of roads it connects them with a node.

That is great IF only it worked that way on the NA server! Half the time I can't connect two road segments!! Same direction, Same name, same road type. Try and connect and just get a fault saying roads can't be connected. The bridge function used to kind of override this fault and just force the 2 road segments together.

When the connect does work it simply joins the 2 roads together and leaves them as separate segments which is extremely annoying. Hence once again the use of the bridge function.

Currently I have 2 road segments that can't be connected, joined or bridged. If they do get connected by overlapping them, I can't remove junction because there isn't one. So it leaves the road as 2 segments with no possible way to just make them one road.

I'm all for making the editing easier but make sure the functions work properly before removing things that have worked in the past.

You are correct. Bridging will return soon (like tomorrow I hope) and then will be removed again once I sort out all the problems.
