This is a short notice to update that Talk To Waze voice commands (“OK Waze”) are now deprecated in order to prepare our infrastructure for the expected expansion of Google Assistant on Waze in more regions (currently open in the US only). That means that we are expecting a short period of time in which voice commands will not work at all. Please note that voice dictation will still be available when tapping the microphone button, the same way it is currently available in all non-English speaking countries, except for CarPlay in which it will be temporarily unavailable (will be brought back hopefully in April).

We are aiming to open Google Assistant on Waze in more languages and regions gradually and are working closely with the Google Assistant team to make sure that we scale responsibly and with high quality. We will keep you all updated on the exact dates once we have them.

We appreciate your patience while we are working on this important change and sure that this will lead to an even better hands-free experience.
