Re: Embedding house numbers fix

Hello Support.
I spent an entire day driving around Primary Back roads entering house numbers. I did this to stay out of the city and I manually entered the house numbers directly from the Waze Client in front of each house, so really it's "on-the-ground" validated information. I've included a Superpermalink to the area that I worked on. Some were accepted while most were rejected.

http://www.waze.com/cartouche/?zoom=1&l ... TFFFFFTTTT

Most of the rejected house numbers were residential streets or #'s not on Primary Roads.

Also, when entering the house numbers through the update details button in the Waze Client, does it matter if the "#" sign is still there when entering the house number such as i.e #10711?

Thanks

Please do something!
It's impossible to make house numbers! It's looks the chances are like a dice roll when a house number gets acepted (blue) and when not (red). Nobody creates house numbers in Hungary because it's a waste of time!
I've re-created the house number hundred times in the area linked in my previous post, but they're always turns to red.
Very-very-very-very-very-very-very-very annoying!!!

What's the problem with these???

http://world.waze.com/cartouche/?zoom=7 ... 1=90354818

I think the whole house numbering thing is still a mess.
It's imposibble to set house numbers accurately.
If I walk on a street, to set house numbers, the screen isn't updating because I walk too slow. But how should I set the house numbers when I'm driving???
It's crazy, and very annoying!

Hi,

It is best if you email them at alpha@waze.com, that way the Waze team sees it faster :)

I think the logic is meant to make numbering easier: place a number at one end of the street and one at the other, and all the numbers inbetween are generated automatically. However, it doesn't work like that everywhere...

Yes, definitely. In Germany, there are many very small villages where there are no street names at all, only house numbers. In these cases, the house numbers are spread over the village in no real order at all, simply in the order when the house was built. It's currently impossible to add these to waze.

Ok, Ill send them an email instead.. kinda thought they would be seeing it here as well lol :)

Kind odd it has to have logic.. I have seen so many examples in my life before where streets and their housenumbers didn't have any logic... it should be possible, imho, to place any housenumber on any spot of the road.

House numbers will not be accepted and turn blue, if the Waze server´s logic doesn´t understand the way it´s numbered. You should send an e-mail to alpha@waze.com to let them take a look at it.

I had a problem with a street that was numbered like this (*** is the road).

80, 78 <<<<<<<<<<---------- 64, 62
***************************************
30, 32 ---------->>>>>>>>>> 58, 60

Waze support is looking into it, to see if they must adjust the logic.
