update:
we understand there are some issues with the latest release (freeze / crashes on phones running Android 2.2)
We are currently working on fixing and will hopefully release a new version today.
In the meantime, if you'd like to revert to version 1.9 you can download it from http://m.waze.com
Sorry for the inconvenience.

=========

Earlier today we released 2.0.0.1 to the Android Market, after extensive efforts with the assistance of many of you.
The version focus is on stability and performance and corrects many problems that exist in the current market version.
We are aware there are still some items that need be worked upon and we encourage your feedback.
Please download that version in replacement of older versions (including various beta versions) to ensure we are aligned.

Hello everybody!
I'm new to this community. Today I've read about Waze and I was courious about it, it seems a genial gizmo! So, I pulled it into my Wildfire HTC and... it works but I cannot see anything but a white screen. Sometimes (often) it crashes and closes itself.
I've tried also the version 1.9 but with the same results. Some help?
Thank you
Vittorio

Navigation still has serious issues for me. A slight improvement from the beta, but stop useless for actually getting anywhere.
I left home this morning, and selected Work from my favorites. Waze calculated a route and a 45 minute drive. So far so good. But a quarter mile into the drive, waze recalculated and kept recalculating over and over until I was within 5 miles of work.
Nexus be with Android 2.2.1

I've put it down to either server problems at Waze end, or bad networking connection (my mobile carrier) in between us. So I start off fine but if Waze recalculates the route it goes all do-lally as you describe - after abour 30 minutes it can come right without me doing anything.

So my questions for you are: how often does this happen for you? And how good is your internet networking in other ways? Can you tests it at the same time this problem happens?
This happens every time I use Waze. One morning, Waze worked all 45 miles to my destination. That's the only time it's worked for a destination more than 2 miles away since I switched to the 1.10.99 beta, including the 2.0 releases.

My internet connection is good. It shows a strong 3G signal, full bars. I'm driving when it happens, so I'm not able to test it further, but I've used the Coverage Mapper app to record that there are no dead spots along my commute.

Just had an issue when making a report which seemed to show other reports way outside my designated radius! Originally set at 25 miles, made a report and suddenly saw 23 reports ranging from 40 - 500 miles away. Into options and changed it to 5 miles which sorted it, back to 25 miles and it showed correctly!

Running 2.0.0.1 on my Dinc, and I'm seeing a behavior I've seen on the 1.9 & 1.10.xx clients.

Sometimes, when I munch a new neighborhood, I'll drive the road parallel to the one I was just on (head East on "A", turn South on "1st" one block, head back West on "B"), and the 1st road ("A") shows unmunched. If I go around the block and drive "A" again, it shows me munching again. I seem to collect point for it both times, but there's no real way of knowing (that I can tell), so it works nicely that way, but it is frustrating to have to drive some sections of road 2-3 times.

I've also noticed that sometimes, it'll show munched today, but when I drive by tomorrow, it'll show unmunched again.

This is the client that's showing this, and I'd think it'd have the most current data. I can usually go see my tracks in Update mode the next day, but the client may still be showing it as unmunched.

What cokor are the tracks in your archive? If they are yellow or red, your gps position dit not match with the road, which causes the road go back to unmunched (and the points to be retracted)

It is under General Settings, between Auto Zoom and 24h Clock.

Can't choose finish point directly from the map in 3D mode - no pop-up menu. 2D mode is okay.
No multitouch?
