Hello guys,

i have one small question about how we should fill "city" form for segments in Qatar.

I know that Qatar is still a "young" country for editings and there are no special rules for Qatar but if i look the general rules from other countries in my opinion there is a bit of confusion on how they are filled now.

I don`t consider myself like an expert editor so this is just my personal opinion for a discussion with other people that are more expert about editing and Qatar country.

Let`s take for an example this image:

Like it`s now you can see there are few roads with the city name "Mesaieed"(dark blue boundaries) and a lot of them are with the city name of "Al Wakrah"(transparent black boundaries)......this for me is completly wrong because the city name should be used only inside the city boundaries(signs like "Welcome to -city name-" is where a city start for example).

Outside of Mesaieed city there is no other cities until Al Wakrah(20 km more or less for Mesaieed) and all those road in between should have a "No city name" field in my opinion.

I understand that Al Wakrah is a Municipality and Mesaieed only a district of Al Wakrah but this doesn't mean that Mesaieed is not a city.

Let's consider that i dont' know where is Al Wakrah but i need to go there....i`m driving from the south and when i'm in Mesaieed, on Waze i already see that i'm in Al Wakrah also if i`m 20km far from it.....it can be a very misleading.

In my opinion google maps can be a good reference to decide city boundaries also for waze.
Taking for example these 3 images you can see how the city change(Al Wakrah, no city and in the last one Mesaieed).


For now i`m checking the map around al wakrah and mesaieed since i`m working in between and i edit a lot there....i didn`t check too much in other part of Qatar but also a lot of Dukhan Highway should be without a city just to make another example that i saw personally.

Last example:
let`s consider Dukhan city( one is pretty good with the roads inside the city with the name of the city and the highways outside without any name.....it still need to remove the city name from some of them(red line in the image more or less) but also in other part of qatar it should be the same.

After i wrote all the post i discoverd that in google maps you can see the boundaries of each city like here or here or here etcccc
