Traveling Abroad

Post by jtbowz
Hello all,

I apologize if this was already answered, I did do some aggressive searching of the forum.

Up unto a few minutes ago, my Waze account was set to the geographical area, "US/Canada". I just changed it to "World". Now, I'm hoping the issue I have been experiencing will be rectified by this change.

PROBLEM: I register points and retain my Wazer status in the U.S. with no issue. I travel abroad frequently, and upon landing in another country my iPhone 6 (via full data connection) when it connects to the host country network (so far in Barcelona, London, Frankfurt, and Dublin) my Waze app opens up and shows that I have lost all of my status (it shows I am a Baby Wazer) with ZERO points. However if I log into the Dashboard simultaneously it shows my points are still on my account.

I do quite a bit of driving and traveling when overseas and i am losing all of these points. When I get back to the US, the points that I added to my Baby Wazer account, never post.

1.) Will changing the geographical area to WORLD, fix this issue?

2.) Will Waze reimburse me the lost points if I contact them regarding this issue?

This is covered in detail here: https://support.google.com/waze/trouble ... %2C6270858

Points don't cross servers. Changing the US/Canada vs. World setting on your dashboard page only changes what is displayed, not which server your account is earning points on.
