Deep Link Favorites Query - Wildcards?

Post by SomebodySysop
I the following favorite in WAZE: Mimoda dance Studio

If I use this deep link:

http://waze.com/ul?favorite=mimoda

It doesn't find it as a favorite.

If I use this deep link:

http://waze.com/ul?q=mimoda

It will appear on the list of results because it is a local business.

I guess that works, but I also have my Mom as a favorite.

http://waze.com/ul?favorite=mom

Finds her because the spelling matches.

http://waze.com/ul?q=mom

Gives me a list of all the addresses it can find with "mom" in the name, but in the entire list doesn't include my favorite!

My issue is this: I know "mimoda" is a favorite, but the deep link query won't find it unless I include the exact name as it appears in favorites. I am writing a Tasker AutoVoice script that will allow me to say "drive to <favorite>" and I would like to know if there is *any* way to do wildcard search for names in favorites using the "favorite" query? thanks!

I can confirm this behaviour. Favourite search needs an exact match.
I do not know of any wildcard search there yet - I also tried a bunch of known wildcards without luck.

I believe there is no (comfortable) way around for you? Like search & replace in Tasker (replace mimoda by Mimoda dance Studio) or just rename your favourites according to your speech?

Anway, I would suggest this to the Waze staff since I think this may be helpful for some people in future.
