new railroad crossing scameras in Orlando

Post by daveywave
Hi,

Orlando is now starting a pilot RR xing camera enforcement program at 3 crossings. At first, only "friendly warning letters" will be sent out at these locations: http://www.wftv.com/news/officials-hope ... /219285383 . Is there a way we can add a Railroad crossing camera to the app? Also coming in the not-too-distant future under the city's highly questionable expansion and extension are all types of other cameras.

Thanks,
David

It is not equivalent as it's not going to issue tickets until the law is passed (or agreed upon that they can). So, for now it is nothing. Seen as most cities are getting rid of red light cameras, I don't see that Orlando is going to do very well getting it passed right now that they can start issuing citations for it. I also can't see anyone filling out the questionnaire lol!

Summary - Nothing to do right now.

That would be equivalent to a red light camera.

I wish they would just make the arms impassable (ie arms on both sides of the railway), but that would cost money instead of making money.
