Beta Editor Thread

Postby argus-cronos » Thu Mar 28, 2013 11:20 am

ohad-ron wrote:Hey guys,

We need more people to use the beta editor. Using the beta editor daily and giving us feedback on technical issues as well as functional considerations is a very helpful way to contribute to the community.

If you like editing, use the editor often, curious about our future enhancements, and have some time to spare writing long forum posts in the beta forum, we want you :D

Just fill in this form:

Edit Formular ist nicht mehr verfügbar und die Akquisition vorerst abgeschlossen!

ohad-ron wrote:Welcome to the WME beta group.

The purpose of the beta is:

    1. Consult with the community on planned enhancements to the editor
    2. Test the implementation of these features - load and functionality testing

If you're here it's because you know your way around the editor, have valuable experience, and wouldn't mind sharing your opinion.

Please use the beta as much as you can as your main editor - we will try to minimize the period in which the beta editor is broken / less comfortable than the public editor. The more you use it and feedback, the easier it is for us to deploy quality versions to the editing masses.

If you see a bug - help us crush it! let us know the exact details - OS, browser, steps for replication, screenshots, movie-shots, etc.

We are watching this forum! We cannot always respond, but we are always reading and paying attention to your opinion and feedback. Thanks!

Damits noch ein wenig interessanter wird:

ohad-ron wrote:We will soon be pushing new features to the beta. (coming soon - ability to edit road closures reported from the client, and scheduled restrictions).

We will announce here as soon as these features are available.

Was bereits im Beta-Editor drin ist, es gibt eine Möglichkeit auf einem zweispurigen Segment einen u-turn zu generieren mit einer Kreuzung.

We will be adding the people who submitted the form to the beta in the next few days - I hope even today.

Who is the german beta expert? Give me his username and I'll make sure he gets access.

Thanks

ohad-ron wrote:Hey, We're implementing a new login system to the Waze web site, and as part of the deployment process we'll need to have a separate login form for the beta editor and the web site.

This means you'll have to login twice for a while to use the beta editor and the web site concurrently.

Sorry for the hassle, we hope this won't take long. Thanks!

ohad-ron wrote:Another update:

We will also deploy a new version of the beta editor backend server. Most changes shouldn't be visible and are related to the road ranks feature we're rebuilding.

This update should also fix the bug some people were experiencing with the 'Drives' tab displaying drives happening in the future.

Let us know if you encounter any issues.

Steht bereits in der Kartenlegende ;-)

Was m.E noch erwähnt werden sollte ist: Fußwege sollten keine physische Verbindung zwischen zwei routbaren Straßen haben. Ist aber OT hier.
