I threw in locks on the freeway segments on both sides as well. More locking to prevent connecting of a new ramp, should the offender choose to continue to make incorrect edits.

Similar request for the "Metro Parking" ramp which is also part of that walled-off exit lane. It's currently called Village Spring Lane, which is the street opposite (but not technically the name of the ramp).

See my PM. For some reason I was able to unlock the critical segments.

waze just tried to route me over the left exit yesterday. I know nothing about disconnecting, cartouches, or anything like that. I attempted to file a report indicating "missing exit" but I don't know if it worked. All I know is that around 5pm, 10/24/11, waze tried to send me to the left exit. (I travel the route frequently and knew better, fortunately, but folks who merge from Route 50 might have a hard time going all the way to the left only to find out they need to hurry back to the right.)

Thanks for the confirmation. We'll see if we can keep it disconnected.

Being on the other side of DC I really can't keep track of all the construction in Virginia.

Hi,

It's little ol' me, the originator of all this hullaballoo. I just drove through the area in question again, and, yes, the left exit ramp to westbound I-66 is still closed.

That interchange has always been a little strange, with a single right side exit to eastbound I-66 and ~2~ exits, one left side and one right side, to westbound I-66. And trying to keep track of where all the exits to all of the interchanges on I-495 in Virginia with all the construction is mind boggling!! If I could actually see a set of plans, I could probably keep track (before I got laid off I used to design roads and storm drain systems).

Anyway, I want to thank everyone who's kept up with all the back and forth on this. It's good to know that there are actually people who do care about making sure the system works as best as it can.
