EDIT: You're still editing here, so you may get this all 100% right before you read this... ;)

Please make sure you are not leaving red roads around: http://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php/Crea ... ng_details

In reference to this location: https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=6&lon ... TTTFTTTTTT, roads mostly don't overlap each other unless it's dedicated turn lanes (a rare and special situation) or actual bridges/ramps. You should either draw discrete segments, redraw, or use the create junction from overlap function: http://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php/Map_ ... d_junction

Correct parking lot road layout/creation isn't totally clear either: http://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php/How_ ... _Lot_Roads

Not all parking lot roads should be set as such.

You've set some segments to "Portland" for the city. Isn't this area pretty well west of Portland city limits?

Okay. I guess I also saw "Oak Hills" right in that area. Wasn't sure if that was more appropriate... Empty is fine, too. Just make sure and set some of those parking lot segments back to street per the guidelines.

charleskelso wrote:All of the addresses here are either Beaverton or Portland. Oak Hills is a neighborhood name, they all have Beaverton addresses. This whole area (North of 26) is technically "Unincorporated Washington County" so... I guess I don't know if I should use the city as stated on local addresses or just go with "no city".
The whole question about unincorporated "neighborhood names" and census designated places and actual cities... ugh. In general, we would go with mailing address. FYI, since waze is rarely used for address info lookup (client goes to bing/google first and prefers those resources), and returns a gps location to the client for routing, it really doesn't matter all that much. It does affect display of city names on the livemap, editmap and client, though.

Great! Thanks.

That one last bit concludes verifying and updating 2 square miles of a place I know. 8-)

Yeah, I was still working on those when you posted. I'm not sure how much value I'm adding with the parking lots but, it's fun. =] I discovered that if I add Country/State/City and give them a Type of Parking Lot and check the No Name box they turn white. Pretty straight forward really.

I have one red road... I'll get the name when I run by it this afternoon.

The overlap created itself. I clicked there hopping it would make a junction but when I ended it another road it didn't. Then I selected both but the junction icon didn't appear. I just deleted it and started over.

There's one more locked road stopping me from adding legal turns:

Well, yes and no. This area is Portland but in Washington county. All of the addresses are currently listed as Portland... though Beaverton has been trying to annex area for a few years now. I could set them to No City if that makes sense.
