For 155, I don't see the UR there anymore, so what was the issue?

I'll leave 156 for Jon since he's had experience there.

155 had an incorrect junction UR without specifying anything. The way the ramp was created/locked doesn't look too idea. I would have thought something more in line with the way Google drew it. I was wondering if you think we should update it or leave it be.
The other way a certain other map site shows it does seem to be better -- traffic from 2nd Ave lines up better and the turn instruction would be more timely from 59th St. I just made the changes. Take a look and let me know if I missed anything.

RE: Rte 17, I'm still going along 4 (mostly at and west of 17, some of which you already touched). I'm cleaning up things in general besides any recent damage, so a second set of eyes would be welcome ;)

And our newbie who started this discussion replied to my PM and it seems like honest newbie mistakes and I think he has been set straight.

So I've finally been able to spend more than 10 minutes or less a day with Waze lately and I am slowly catching up on reading the forums. I am so glad to see that this thread is functioning quite well to address the miscellaneous issues found in NJ without me :)

RE: roads with the route number appended to the common name -- I noticed that on my own a few days ago and I've been talking to the editor responsible. He means well and knows that it will have to be undone in the future. I am personally concerned about setting a bad example for new editors. PMs are still on-going...

Take a look around other parts of NY state to see what standard they have gone with or look in the New York forum under the US sub-forum.

orbitc wrote:Just to clarify;
If there is a road name for a CR-656 such as "Smith St", it should be just "Smith St" and CR-656 can put as an alternative name.

Is this also true for the State routes? such as State Rte 35?
Can this be named as "State Rte 35" and the other name would be put in as alternative name?

Thanks
One name should be the primary name and the other name should be an alternate name. Do not combine them together.

That said, which name gets to be primary and which gets to be an alternate depends on a case by case basis. It will depend on:
- What do the locals call it?
- What do others call it?
- What do any BGS say?
- What do any signs at individual intersections say?

Again, it will be a case by case basis.
