Albany, NY Help needed for strange roundabout

Hello, a major construction project completely moving Washington Ave. Ext. in Albany to turn it into an overpass and removing intersections and putting in roundabouts, etc. just finished yesterday. This has created a mess on the map at this intersection.

I have already realigned Washington Ave Ext. and Fuller Road. However, there is a long oval roundabout that was created under this bridge connecting the on/off ramps to Washington Ave. Ext. that is causing me a lot of problems in map editor. I'm in over my head on such a complex intersection. I've driven through the intersection multiple times and still cannot seem to make it fit on the map.

Below are some images for help.

Even though it says proposed, this is how it was completed.

You can see they moved the road behind this new building.

Here's the problem. Each off ramp turns into two lanes and the roundabout is far from being round.

Can a brave soul help to edit this? I can touch it up to make sure the points are in their correct spot if someone can create this design in the map editor.

Thank you!

I can confirm the roundabout is actually oval but I can tinker with that. Thank you.

Unbelievable. A level 1 user completely deleted this intersection and put it back to the old way...I thought they couldn't make edits on segments created/edited by those of higher levels.

Either way, I have to create the intersection again from scratch and I will definitely be locking all the segments this time.

Well this is one of those you do it once and learn your lesson type things then. I sent a PM...tried to keep it professional!

Thanks for everyone's help on this. In the PM i received back from the level 1 user they said they were trying to fix problem reports that were generated from the road being too far from the GPS tracks. This is due to the fact that there are almost no GPS tracks for the new road layout and thousands for the old layout. That is why I have been tinkering with the intersection for a couple weeks since it opened. Now I'll have to start that tinkering all over again.

As for the junctions all over the place, that is from me having to screw around with the roundabout to make it oval. After driving through it a couple of times, it is probably even less round than I have it now but I can edit that later when I can confirm it. The tough part is because it is under an overpass and the client doesn't quite seem to know what to do when I drive through there, the GPS fix may never be spot on.

The "A" that is over the intersection must have been done by the level 1, I noticed it and checked all the segments and none have "A" as the city. I also noticed an area on Route 9 that just says "m" so he might have been doing this in multiple places. (https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=-73.77 ... TTTTTTTTFT) I'm trying to fix that now.

Is Google stealing Wazer's work? I noticed on Google Maps, the intersection is almost exactly as I created it, and this showed up within a week of my updates going live on the Waze client...

Has anyone seen anything like this in the past?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

Anyone can edit anyone else UNLESS there are locks in place... New permissions changes coming in the future, but they depend on road's rank and user level locks...

I certainly think a PM to the level 1 editor is in order...

I think I may have figured out what happened (or at least what brought the new editor to the area)... There is a "A" on the map in that area & the outline of the "old" oval roundabout in the city layer... Could you have possibly given the old roundabout a city of "A" instead of "Albany"?

I also see a bunch of extra junction nodes that are scattered around from the rebuild that should be deleted...

P.S. The new roundabout is shifted to the north from where the "old" one was - check your drive data.

Perhaps this will give you a start.

I did NOT try to make the roundabout 'oval' as the proposal map did not show it as an oval.
I made the roundabout and the added bypass lanes 'service streets'. You may want to change them to ramps.

I put the overpasses on level 2. They could probably be on level 1.
I didn't lock anything. You may want to lock it down when you finish.

Good luck.
