That link you posted is for Exit 8A on I-95 S...
You're talking about a closure of Exit 8B on I-95 N
This link indicates that was just a weekend closure:

I marked it as closed and changed it to a walking trail.

I also reverse the direction on it.
I thought WAZE would not route over walking trails. They are shown as 'NON drivable.' in the road choices.
Have you seen WAZE route traffic along a walking trail recently????

I was recently routed onto 202N from I-95 via Waze. It is still closed. I tried to mark it as exit closed, but apparently failed to do so "reporting a map problem" from the interface. And I'm still too much a newb to make map edits to either I-95 or 202. Could someone please re-separate these segments:

As was noted (elsewhere in this thread?) DelDot has a page on the closure:

Thanks,
AC

Seems like an odd thing to do as neither of those actions will necessarily prevent waze from routing that way.

I would disconnect it or delete it. Reversing the direction won't necessarily keep waze from routing over it either. Waze is a penalty based system. The walking road type and wrong directions create penalties for routing over the segment. Although these penalties likely are sufficient to cause waze to chose a different route, it still seems better to me to just disconnect the segment.

Yes, I have.

Agree that marking as a walking trail is not appropriate since there are bulldozers etc moving dirt all around as they are moving the ramp from 202 s to 95 s in closer to the highway

If you would like to see a graphic of the changes to the intersection they are marked on the delaware department of transportation web site at this address:
http://www.deldot.org/information/proje ... 02-All.jpg
the ramp indicated with number 3 is closed for good and has been eliminated. there is a detour posted which takes drivers off the 202 north ramp north, turn right onto Weldin road, turn right on Foulk road, turn left onto 202 south.
