The junction between these three segments needs to be moved slightly southwest, because the client is telling people to turn left too late, after they have already passed the median between the main portion of the street and the left turn lane. The two segments of Santa Monica Blvd have been locked at level 5. If someone would be willing to unlock them temporarily, I will fix the problem and then report back to have them re-locked.

Unlocked the two segments the ramp is connected to on the south side, don't move the side on the north. :)

The left turn lane there is a very long one, because traffic tends to back up there during rush hour, so people need to jump into the lane early. I hope you don't think I made the transition lane too long. It agrees more or less with the aerial now, and I believe that the turn instruction from the client will occur at the right time.

Would you like to re-lock it for me?

Can you turn right from SMBlvd to Handock? I'm curious about that transition, but if it's not a problem, or you can't, no biggie. Otherwise, I might would suggest straightening that out a bit to hit the road more at a 90.

Turn lane looks fine to me, I did set one turn restriction from the turn lane to the north/east side of SMBlvd while I was looking at it, let me know if that was incorrect (if you can U turn there, but doubt it).

Once it's live, you might play with it in the Live Routing script to make sure it's announcing it the way you want. If the angle is too shallow you might get a "keep left" vs "turn left".

I locked SMBlvd but did not lock the turn lane in case you need to adjust the angle.

Sorry, I lost track of this one, is there more unlocking or fixing you need done here? I might have gone overboard on the turn restrictions?

The U-turn should be allowed from that turn lane (eastbound Santa Monica Blvd doubling back onto westbound), and I would like to make the adjustment you suggested to the angle of Hancock where it meets the upper half of SM Blvd. Oh, and another restriction I would like to add, denying a right turn from eastbound SM Blvd onto the private road that leads south from Hancock. If you'd like to just unlock the segments, I'll fix everything and report back to have them locked again.
I opted for the latter option ;) Let me know if you need any more unlocked, and when you're done. :)

Ok, I think everything is as it should be. Here's a quick permalink to re-lock everything:

Thank you again!
Awesome, thanks for the Permalink ;) Have fun!

A U-turn is allowed from that turn lane, though I agree with you that it looks like the kind of place where that would be unlikely.

Yes, you can turn right from westbound Santa Monica Blvd onto Hancock northbound. I'd be happy to make the adjustment you recommend, if you'd like to unlock those segments for me. Good idea.

What used to be southbound Hancock from that intersection is now a private road, so the right turn from eastbound Santa Monica Blvd onto that lower segment should be disallowed. It might be simpler for you to change that restriction and re-lock it than to let me do it.

I will have opportunity to test the routing there live with the client once the map is updated, and make sure that my initial turn lane angle is abrupt enough to cause the client to call for a left turn.
