NE 137th Street marked as PS

Postby CyclistMike » Fri May 06, 2016 9:23 pm

According to http://www.seattle.gov/transportation/s ... ssmaps.htm, NE 137th is a planned arterial, not an actual one yet. Why is this marked as a Primary Street in Waze? Living in the neighborhood, the street is not yet designed for that kind of flow of traffic with traffic circles, narrow streets, and no sidewalks (so peds have to walk in the street). Can we have this marked as a regular street?

Consider other side streets that have similar number of GPS points (27th Ave NE as an example). Also not an arterial, but has the same attributes as 137th.

Sorry for the delay: https://www.waze.com/livemap?zoom=16&la ... -122.30114

I know that Waze will direct people through streets to optimize, but I'm glad you guys decided to downgrade until it is finally revamped to an arterial (which would be welcomed, we need more E/W ones!).

Thank you

Can you give me a permalink to the area in question?

OK, I got with helifino and after careful consideration we have to side with the local FC map and downgrade this to Street. However, please be advised that if Waze wants to send someone through that area will will more likely be a zig zag pattern using any street it wants to test for timeliness.
