Okay, it sounds like it may be the error checking to make sure someone didn't typo a price. Waze can adjust the range. What would you say a sane range of prices is? Taking in account current, past, and maybe a guess to the future. $0.50 to $2.00? $0.75 to $1.50?

And does that apply to all grades of fuel?

It can be adjusted again in the future if there is a major change.

Looking at that sheet, so do you guys typically show prices in CENTS per liter at the stations?

Yes
Okay, and to the two decimal places as shown in that PDF? So the signs would show 82.88 cents/liter?

We have the situation with two prices in parts of the continental US as well. Many arguments over which one to use.

For the least significant digit in prices, is it always a 7 or does it vary? In the US it is ALWAYS a 9 as the last digit for example.

Is any one able to answer Yonatan's questions? Once we have this info we can improve the way gas stations are working on PR for you all. Let us know if there are any questions about what is being asked.

x556 wrote: Common Gas Types

Regular, Premium and Diesel

Prices ranging from
$0.70 to $1.50 more or less
So no midgrade gasoline?
Same price range for all fuels?

Yep :) I've passed the info onto Waze staff. We will see if they have any further questions before they tweak things. Hopefully we will get gas price reporting working well for you soon!

The specific Waze employee we were working on this with has moved on so I will have to find out the new responsible individual.

You mention the price would be 88.7¢ but I think previous discussion indicated the price would be shown as $0.887. Which is it? Yes to us humans it is the same thing, but it is a huge difference in how the system will look at it and expect user input (basically typing 88.7 vs .887)

Thanks for the confirmation. And are we still comfortable with a range of $0.707 through $2.007 to start for valid prices to accept?
