Post by GPSRitter
Hello fellow wazers,

First of all sorry for not writing in Spanish but my Spanisch is limited to Aqua, Gracias, porfavor and buenas tardes ... ;)
I'm from Austria and I was the last week in Spain, mainly Madrid and Toledo and have taken the chance to waze around.

Routing seems to work quite well in Spain, but I have seen a couple of minor issues on your road. I have therefore taken the opportunity to optimize a few things. mainly around the airport but also this Turnaround:

https://world.waze.com/editor/?zoom=5&l ... TTTFTTTTFT

I tried not to destroy anything but just to optimize (remove unnecessary junctions for example).
So I hope you are not to angry with me if I did something wrong :)

Nevertheless I have seen that you have some quite challenging roads to manage ... ;)
So keep up your good work and let's hope you get it done sooner or later ...

I know we have our own issues in Austria and we are working on it. But I try to help whenever I see issues in a territory I drive.

CU and best regards,
GPSRitter

Hallo, GPSRitter.

I am sure that the Madrid area editors will appreciate your possitive feedback about routing. In Spain, we are a young and small community of editors, and although basemaps were imported, there is still lot of work to be done. And of course, your contributions to solve some of the issues are very valuable indeed. This is the spirit of Waze.

Mit freundliche Grüssen

Hola GPSRitter

Saludos cordiales

Thank you four welcome Brshk (sound Klingon for something ;) ),

and for the Spanish translation of your answer :)
I`ll do my best to help where I can ... Although my main contribution is dedicated to my homeland, Austria.

I`ll be in Spain in a couple of weeks again and will have business trip in the north eastern quarter of Spain mainly. So I can give you feedback on that when I have been there.

Happy wazing :)

I'Ve been rushing through Madrid again on the Editor and have found a junction, that could be optimized:

this is how it looks like today:
https://world.waze.com/editor/?q=Reggio ... TTTFTTTTFT

And this is how it could be made in a much more easy way (see orange route. all changes removed).

This would improve also routing as well as it does not create softturns by the System ending up in wrong driving directions ... which are anyway not really possible at this junction as all routes are two way roads :)

Just a suggestion for optimizing ...

As my Spanish is bad, I believe someone can translate it to Spanisch, to allow other people from Spanish community to discuss internally how to handle the suggestion.

BTW: the street is back to what it was. I have not saved any changes I made on this junction.

No offence taken for post edit ;)
