Anybody know what the status is of the Old Montgomery Road bridge project in Howard County? Also, can we consider the 695/Wilkens Rd project completed as far as Waze is concerned? I set the final ramp names and turn restrictions, and can't think of any other changes that need to be made.

Does anybody know if the ramp from I-70 E to Security Blvd has reopened? I see a map problem there and I'm not sure if it's from old or new data. Also, was the park & ride just east of it expanded? There is also a map problem there and I'm not sure if it's just bad GPS data.

I-70: The ramp to Security Blvd was reconnected by another editor, so I assume we can take that as the ramp being open. nzahn, let me know if this is not the case.

MD-32: tckma, let me know what you find - it sounds like the project has entered stage 3 of construction as shown on this drawing. Specifically, Linden Church Rd has been realigned to the south of its existing location and onto the bridge over MD-32, the traffic circle and ramp to MD-32 N & S are open, traffic on MD-32 N still turns right onto Greenbury Rd/Broadwater Ln to access Linden Church Rd, and traffic on MD-32 S does not have access and must use the previous exit (Burntwoods Rd). Here's a few other links that might help with laying it out since the GPS layer isn't working - I'll add them to the first post later tonight:

I-70: I re-disconnected it and locked it at a higher level.

MD-32: I might be headed out that way tomorrow - if I do I will check it out. I think we can agree that the satellite image and GPS points are useless at this point though.

Montgomery Rd Bridge: tckma, I noticed you were the last editor on that segment - do you know if it's been reopened?

Tomorrow I'll update the MD-32 post and separate the I-95/MD-43 interchange project into its own item on the list. I also have a few additions to the Howard County list.

Some updates from my recent drives:

Russell Street/Casino: The traffic signal at Russell and Worcester is now active - cars can turn left onto Russell (southbound) or continue straight on Worcester. Also, Worcester west of Russell is now one-way westbound. The left turn from Russell (southbound) to Bayard is still allowed during construction. I added a railroad segment with a note to discourage people from reconnecting Warner since that seems to happen on a regular basis.

Old Montgomery Road: tckma, thanks for the update! Let me know if/when you hear the project is finished so I can mark it as complete on the list. I’ll leave it up for about a month after that so other editors know that it’s finished.

MD-32: I drove through here and made a few changes, but tckma did a good job with it! Linden Church Road is finished - the roundabout and both ramps to MD-32 are open. The temporary access from 32 N to Linden Church Road still uses Broadwater Lane but it’s very easy to overlook - I had to go back down Broadwater Lane to confirm this.

Another update, on I-95/MD-200:

I drove through on Saturday - access to this section of Van Dusen Rd from Sweitzer Ln was blocked by movable barricades, and access to Virginia Manor Ct and some of the properties on Virginia Manor Rd remains using the old alignment of that road.

This section of MD-200 was open to transit buses running a certain route at one time, but that bus no longer runs - should we change it to a private road for now? It’s still drivable and open to emergency and construction vehicles, but my concern is that Waze might ignore the turn restrictions and route someone onto MD-200 E from I-95 N or route someone from Virginia Manor Rd onto MD-200 W. Disconnecting it is also an option but I’m unable to disconnect or delete any segments connected to a node with a level 5 lock on one of the segments.

Also, does anyone know about the status of the realignment of this ramp from 198 E to 95 S? It’s supposed to connect to the ramp from 198 W instead of going under it and connecting directly to I-95 (see ramp S-A on this newsletter), but until the GPS points layer is fixed I can’t tell what’s happening.

Oh duh, I think my brain wasn't working before. I was thinking of disconnecting the ramps at the interchange but that's much easier.

Just found these on the Baltimore County website. Don't have time right now to update the list or edit the map so if anyone else wants to make the edits go for it! Otherwise I should be able to do it tomorrow.

Jordan Sawmill Road
Jordan Sawmill Road will be closed from September 30 until November 22 for bridge repairs.

Valley Road
Valley Road will be closed between Wilkens Avenue and Hilltop Road from October 7 until December 6 for bridge and roadway repairs.

Montrose Avenue
Montrose Avenue near Turnlee Avenue off of Reisterstown Road in Garrison will be closed beginning on September 9. Utility work is expected to last until January 2014.

kodi75, I can't find your post, but I added that to the list. I did the edits for Montrose Ave, but Jordan Sawmill Rd is well out of my driving area and I can't even locate the bridge on that road.

Other updates:

Old Montgomery Road Bridge: now scheduled to reopen in December.

I-95/MD-200 Interchange: I made a mistake in my previous post when I said Van Dusen Rd west of I-95 was closed and blocked off - it's open and driveable. Also the realigned ramp from MD-198 E to I-95 S is not open yet. MD-200 east of I-95 still matches the aerial image - it's open and driveable to emergency and authorized vehicles, and the only two ramps that are physically blocked are the ramp from I-95 N to MD-200 E and the continuation of MD-200 E east of the I-95 exits.
