Strange I-70 directions

While coming into work today, I went an alternate way because of traffic.

Going west on I-70, I wanted to go south on Rt.29. Waze told me to take the NORTH exit. Weird. I want south anyway and encountered no issues.

here is the spot. Any ideas why it did this?

Yep. As soon as I went on the SB ramp, the directions recalced and the remainder of the trip was good directions. I'll do it again on Mon and see if it does it again.

A thought: Maybe there's no traffic information for the wayward route? If I take it and it gets data, would it then know not to use it in the future?

Sorry, didn't see this till now. My destination was off Rt. 100, so I took 100W from 29. That help?

No idea. Did waze recalculate your route while you were on the southbound ramp to 29?

No, not really. I've certainly been routed south on 29 from 70 to 100. But I've never received a route to take the ramp to 29 north. I'm hoping that was an anomaly due to real-time traffic info. I don't see any issues with the map at the interchange.
