Red light timings

Post by tckma
Take a look at the UR posted here:

The turn restrictions are OK. This left turn is part of my commute -- I drive home this way with Waze almost every day, and I've never had the problem this user is experiencing. I suspect Waze is taking left turn/red light timings into account.

Any thoughts?

This segment should be a "Minor Highway" instead of a "Street": https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=7&lat ... s=66723284.

Yes, Waze does log time-to-turn as well.

I think Andy is correct that the street segment may be causing this problem. I can reproduce the problem on the live-map for somewhat longer routes.

The odd thing is that waze is routing all the way down to a service road segment to avoid the street segments. This seems to belie the statements we've been given that service road segments route the same as street segments.

The routing down the service road doesn't seem to be happening anymore, for the same route you linked.

I have been removing little U-turn segments from Route 140 between Westminster and 795, when they aren't used to turn onto streets, because they almost all have "No U Turn" and "Official Use Only" signs posted. Maybe removing the service road segment there helped correct the routing.
