Need help on navigation to address after House # corrected

Post by rsfly
Dear Waze Community,
Would like to kindly ask for assistance with our address 37 Windsor Ln New Hartford CT. I received help in editing the house number #37 location be changed to the correct location which is at the end of Windsor Ln (short driveway after the asphalt road).

However, after the house number location was adjusted, now Waze gives a completely wrong direction to get to the house, it navigates via Robbins Rd and Elizabeth Road then leads to a dead end on the other side of the town. Would it be better to have change Waze GPS location of #37 Windsor Ln to be closer to #35 Windsor Ln which is at the end of the Asphalt segment of Windsor Ln road?

Appreciate help in getting Waze to guide the correct navigation.

Best,
RSfly

I pulled the Town of New Hartford GIS data & updated the map in this area as follows...
  • Removed the "Primary Street" extension of Windsor Ln.
  • Moved the Residential Place for #37 closer to the cul-de-sac.
  • Updated & Added entries to the Waze Address Database (House Numbers) with proper stop points (based on the GIS).
According to the GIS, there is no #35 on Windsor Ln - it jumps from 33 to 37.

A big part of this problem is that your house is set so far back from Windsor Ln that it's actually closer to Elizabeth Rd - and Waze will navigate to the closest segment to the GPS coordinates of a Point Place.

Please note, you will need to do a NEW search in the app - Your history, favorites and the "Are you going home?" prompt all use the stored GPS coordinates of the initial search. They will not grab the updated search results.
