Waze worked fairly well all the way from TN to Boston and back honestly. The biggest issue I had was unclear freeway splits. I-81/I-380/I-84 outside of Scranton PA was especially confusing because it lacked some prompts that are really needed due to non-intuitive continuations and lane drops. I've already edited that while I was on the road that night.

I experienced some of the same (but much less) in your neck of the woods. I added a few splits like in Hartford proper at the I-84/I-91 junction (BTW my grandparents used to live in Windsor when they were alive so I am familiar with the area -- well, how it used to be before they expanded the roads ;) )

I also added some splits where I-84 and the CT and US routes overlap between Hartford and Waterbury and you have the crossing traffic warning signs -- unfortunately I don't remember the specific locations right now :(

I hope you don't mind the edits -- as a driver passing through they seemed needed to me (some more than others of course). If any URs come up, please blame me :D

What did I get wrong?

That area is complex. I don't send uncertain drivers through there without clear instructions. I don't know what you fixed up but I would recommend a bunch of ramp renaming in addition. For example I would make these two http://tinyurl.com/ce3yauf blank, and rename http://tinyurl.com/cs4zwk3 to include I-380.
I didn't touch those first two ramps since I didn't drive on them at all. That last ramp looks like I must have just touched its geometry since the name has a space (I- 84) in it and I would have at least removed that. I can look at the ramps and directions other than what I travelled if you can't edit there yourself.

I see you made changes to at least that one ramp. But you didn't put spaces around the slash character. Without the spaces, TTS will give strange results. I also added the control cities. So "to I-84 E/I-380 S" became "to I-84 E / I-380 S / Mt. Pocono / Milford".

I'm giving the rest of the interchange a look now.

Yeah the ramps around here are a mix of many very different styles and most editing was done over a year ago.

And yes we want to be careful with long names, but in this case it doesn't appear to be a problem. If there were a few more lines on the signs or the ramps were real short or close together THEN I would worry.

I've also noticed that Route 6 is called both US-6 and SR-6 in different places but as far as I remember it is indeed a US route here. Do you know anything I don't?

Oh, and I thought the PA standard for state route/highways was to use PA-xxx but I see some SR-xxx here. Could just be the older edits I guess. We can split this off to a different forum since we aren't talking about the Merritt or Wilbur anymore ;)
