The problem is that it isn't (just) a pause –
As qwaletee explained, US 1/9 TRUCK has pretty much always been a concurrency and is designated as such. The same is true of the US 1/9 main route concurrency – it was designated as such some eighty years ago. For this reason I believe that an exception is warranted from the normal Waze naming standard – this is a unique situation, a unique concurrency.
BTW, "(Truck)" is incorrect in this case, as it's a bannered route. Banners are denoted in all caps.
In short,
Wiki standard: "US-1 N" (alt "US-9 N") "US-1 S" (alt "US-9 S") "US-1 TRUCK" (alt "US-9 TRUCK")
Preferred: "US-1/9 N" "US-1/9 S" "US-1/9 TRUCK" (requires TTS addition & wiki exception)
Alternative: "US-1 N / US-9 N" "US-1 S / US-9 S" "US-1 TRUCK / US-9 TRUCK"
But yeah, if we did get that rule added it would be nice to add "1/9" or "1-9" as "One Nine". I've discussed before that I believe "US-1/9 TRUCK" or "US-1-9" TRUCK" to be the best solution, and "US-1 TRUCK / US-9 TRUCK" also acceptable. "US-1 TRUCK" with the alt name "US-9 TRUCK" is the wiki-standard version.PesachZ wrote: The problem is both your suggestions are not currently handled by TTS
"US-1/9 TRUCK" = you ess one slash nine truck
"US-1-9 TRUCK" = you ess one to nine truck
