Cross Reference Standards Needed

Post by PaulieDiG
Good Afternoon All,

I have been doing my due diligence in reading through the wiki and the boards. With that said I was hoping to find a list of websites that can be used as a cross reference to the Waze map. I apologize if this already exists but I could not locate one. MY intention is to find sources that show roads that are not currently on Waze i.e. paper roads. Also to cross reference non existent roads.

In addition I was hoping there could be some sort of standards. Which map sources tend to show the most up to date information. In the end I was hoping to find official state sources.

Looking for thoughts and input.

Happy Wazing!

The mapping resources on the NJ wiki can be used for what you are describing. They are not perfect, but they are helpful. You can also use street view WITHIN Waze (not on google maps) to verify road names where it is available. To CShinn's point, copyrighted info from other sights must never be used.

you cannot use ANY outside sources besides ones that are free for public use such as government map sources. other maps such as mapquest and google maps cannot be uses as a reference to help build the waze map because they are copyrighted
